We are looking for a new colleague for the Authority for Disability in Järfälla

The Social Services Administration in Järfälla Municipality is responsible for elderly care, disability services, individual and family care, as well as healthcare and social care. The Authority for Disability is part of the Department for Elderly Care and Disability.

The Authority for Disability area comprises three units: the Assistance Unit for Adults with LSS, the Assistance Unit for Children and Young People with LSS, and the Assistance Unit for SOL (Social Services Act).

A cohesive and secure work environment

We are now looking for a new colleague with an interest in the LSS area. We are located in a so-called "authority house" within the Social Services Administration, which provides close proximity to case handlers and social secretaries in other operational areas. This facilitates collaboration in joint cases.

Cohesion is very important in our team. We have built a collaboration that works well, where we support each other, laugh together, and dare to say what we think. We aim for a high ceiling and an inclusive climate for everyone.

As an assistance case handler, you will encounter challenging cases. Therefore, it is important that the work environment among colleagues is secure, warm, and free of hierarchy. At our workplace, no one enters alone; we solve things together and keep each other up when needed.

Your profile

To succeed in this role, you need to have good communication skills, be flexible, and work in a structured manner. You thrive working independently and have a clear holistic perspective.

Do you recognize yourself in the description and believe you would fit into our team? If you also have knowledge and experience working with the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disability Impairments (LSS), you are already a good match. Read on to see what we formally require for this role.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibility is to investigate, decide upon, and follow up on approved interventions according to LSS and SOL, as well as the National Transport Service Act. The work with authority decision-making is varied, involving meetings with clients and their relatives, as well as documentation and development work.

The role includes contact and collaboration with providers and other professions, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for your own area but will have support and assistance from your colleagues.

Qualifications and Merits

  • Social work degree or other higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Good teamwork skills and personal maturity.
  • Communication skills in both speech and writing.

Meritorious qualifications:

  • Experience with the Lifecare operational system.
  • Knowledge of LSS and experience working with the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disability Impairments.
  • Experience with IBIC as an investigation method.

What we offer

  • Stimulating, complex, and challenging tasks.
  • Opportunity to work partially remotely when the work allows.
  • Health allowance and access to a generous benefits portal.
  • Annual working hours, which give greater freedom to distribute working time than standard flexitime.

Interviews are conducted continuously. The position may be filled before the final application date due to leave, so feedback may be delayed. We warmly welcome you to apply today!

Employment type: Permanent.
Duration: Permanent.
